5mm 1100 Aluminum Sheet

1100 aluminum plate has an aluminum content of over 99% and has good hardness and bending properties. Its common tempers are H24, H18 and H14. What are its properties and uses? Learn more.
1000 pure aluminum sheet are industrial use. Typical grades include 1050, 1060, 1070, 1100, and 1200. Trace amounts of Fe and Si are added depending on the characteristics. It has superior performance in terms of processability, corrosion resistance, weldability, electrical conductivity, and thermal conductivity, and can be used in containers and heat dissipation materials.
1100 aluminum plate has an aluminum content of over 99% and has good hardness and bending properties. After anodizing, the corrosion resistance can be further improved and a beautiful surface can be obtained; however, it cannot be strengthened by heat treatment. It is widely used in various fields from cookware to industrial equipment.
1100 alloy is a small amount of copper alloy added to pure aluminum to make the material have excellent forming and processing characteristics, high corrosion resistance, good weldability and electrical conductivity. It is a high-quality aluminum plate with a high copper content in the 1000 aluminum series.
1100 aluminum alloy has the general characteristics of aluminum, including low density, good electrical and thermal conductivity, good corrosion resistance, and good plastic processing properties. It can be processed into aluminum sheet, aluminum strip and aluminum foil. It can perform gas welding, argon arc welding and spot welding.
1100 pure aluminum cannot be strengthened by heat treatment, and the strength can be improved through cold deformation. The only form of heat treatment is annealing. The recrystallization starting temperature is related to the impurity content and degree of deformation, generally around 200°C.
The mechanical properties of different cold work hardening states can be obtained by adjusting the annealing temperature after cold deformation or controlling the amount of cold deformation after annealing. In order to improve formability, it is better to adopt the former method.
Tempers
1. 1100-H24 aluminum
The most commonly used annealing process for 1100 aluminum coils is the H24 annealing process. It is a semi-hard state. It is for general use. 5mm aluminum plate is a common thickness.
2. 1100-H18 aluminum
Annealing process H18 is a common but not commonly used annealing process. When 1100 aluminum is often used as advertising signs, car body decoration and packaging, etc., it requires a relatively high hardness. Therefore, such customers usually choose the H18 annealing process to make up for the hardness problem of 1100 aluminum plates.
3. 1100-H14 aluminum
1100-h14 aluminum has good processing performance and beautiful surface. It is widely used in curtain walls, aluminum veneers, and exterior wall decorations.
